Dream2Read founded by Samantha Tesner, has been in effect for the past 4-5 years and focuses on the provision of free tutoring to children attending English-medium schools but for whom, English is not a home language.

Participants in a Dream2Read tutoring program are mainly Xhosa, Zulu or Sotho speaking children who are being taught in the English medium but who, predominantly due to Apartheid and Verwoerd's Bantu Education Act(1953) (the deliberate policy of inferior educational provision for black people which stunted the education of generations of learners) do not speak the language at home and because of overcrowded classes at educational institutions, have 'slipped through the cracks'.

The Houghton House group of treatment centres was established in 1995 as a primary care treatment facility, catering solely for addiction recovery. Since then the group has expanded to include secondary and tertiary care facilities as well, which help patients to sustain a successful, recovery-based lifestyle. We also run a comprehensive outpatient program. Click here..
